Let's Go Swimming

Today, my grandma took my mom, my sister, my brothers, and I to Splash Zone. It is an outdoor swimming park. They had everything from water slides to lazy rivers to just a regular pool. It was so amazing. It was pretty hectic going down the slide:) it was so much fun!!! Then later this evening, we went out to eat at a restaurant called Red's. It was yummy! After we ate, we sat out by the pier to watch the sunset! It was beautiful to watch. Enjoy the pictures!

The Market

Today it rained most of the day. Well today we went to the market! It had so many cool things. Everything from handmade baskets to handmade jewelry to t-shirts. I mean everything. We then went to eat at Bubba Gump. AWESOME! YUMMY! Everything there relates to Forrest Gump (the movie). I got a t-shirt! And we had an awesome waiter. His name was Gabriel. He was so funny and had an awesome memory. He never once wrote down any of our orders or anything. Straight from memory. He also made some funny quotes. Below are some of them:

  • "Bass Pro Shops is like Disney Land for Dudes."
  • "Academy Sports is the Wal-mart of sports...you can by a truck attached to a shotgun for $3,000."
Our waiter was so awesome! He was so funny! I asked if I could take a picture so I could post on my blog and said sure. But then came something I wasn't expecting...he asked for my blog's name so he could check it out. I wonder if he really will. Well only time will tell! Gabriel it was great having you as a waiter today.

We then took a carriage ride around historic Charleston. It was so pretty seeing all the historic buildings. There was a house that was selling for just over 2.0 million dollars. Our tour guide, Sean, said when someone bought it, he would come cook for you and you would never go hungry. Take a look at some of the pictures from today:

First Day of Kiawah Island

Well, I wish I could sit here today and say that I went to church and went on like a normal Sunday should be. But I didn't. I spent my Sunday laying out at the beach and enjoying good ol' family time. It was a productive day...but very different than a normal Sunday would be. So what did we do today? Well, I woke up and jumped in my swim suit and ran down to the beach. I walked up and down collecting shells, conchs, and many other interesting creatures. I saw 2 horseshoe crabs and a couple cannonball jellies. Below is a picture of the cannonball jelly:

Well after walking up and down the beach, I laid out. Well that wasn't the brightest thing to do. I am know sunbuned all over my back and have a bow on my back from my bathing suit. It is beautiful!

Take a moment and look at some of the pictures:

Oh and let me not forget. After we ate dinner last night, we went out to the pier. And there was a group of people taking their pictures for prom. There was one girl there who got her dress stuck and she ripped her dress. And while standing there watching them, I looked at my mom and said remind me when prom dress and shoe shopping, NOT to buy heels. Below is a picture of what NOT to wear to prom:

Do not wear high heels, and short dresses because if this girl had bent over, she would have flashed the entire crowd there. And don't sit on your phone. This night is supposed to be special...not talking on your phone. Your friends are with you.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening. I will post tomorrow :)
